We hope you find our site interesting and we would appreciate your feedback (up to date up to March 22, 2010).

Our mission
Conducting hydrobiological research to be applied for nature development and rehabilitation of deteriorated biotopes and ecosystems. Also we will do our utmost to be well prepared for the implementation of  the European Water Framework Directive (WFD).

Our profile

Alexander Klink (1953) started Hydrobiologisch Adviesburo Klink in 1980. The first projects concerned a taxonomical research on Chironomidae (Micropsectra and Paratanytarsus). Besides he started to get orders from the Dutch Ministry of Travel and Waterworks to perform the first comprehensive research on macro-invertebrates in the large Dutch rivers. From 1984 he introduced paleolimnology in large lowland rivers. At 1985 with acidification at is worst. Regien joined and we succeeded to retrieve subfossil desmid assemblages from acidified moorland fens. In 1993 the “Living Rivers” report of the World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) contained our hydrobiological chapter. More recently we focus on computer-aided identification and paleolimnology as instrument to describe the reference situation for the European Water Framework Directive (WFD).
